About CultureViews

These resources are designed to spark exploration and action-inquiry, not diagnosis. They invite users to get curious about their culture and their role in shaping it.

Use them as a starting point for deeper understanding, not as a way to label or judge.

How to show up as a facilitator

Hold it lightly. The cards and theory aren’t “truth.” Focus on what they prompt and what can be learned.

Lead with empathy – and courage. Facilitate with love and empathy and ask the hard questions. Recognize the courage it takes to reflect on one’s own patterns. Acknowledging where your culture is can be tough, owning your own role in that even harder. Listen with care, give space and notice the courage of looking at our own patterns.

Use inquiry to spark inquiry. Ask questions that open thinking, not close it. E.g., “What questions does this raise about how you shape this culture?”

Remove the idea of a “right answer”. No single culture guarantees success. Every culture has strengths and pitfalls. The goal is awareness first – change only if it feels useful.

Honor lived experience. You’re not in their shoes. Respect participants’ perspectives while offering your observations through thoughtful questions.

Keep it curious, reflective, and grounded in learning.
