Selena Tan PCC
Selena is a Senior Consultant and Board Certified Executive Coach; throughout her career she has led human resources, finance, information technology, and sales and marketing functions, and has focused on leading, engaging, and developing people in the contexts of organizational strategy, optimal value creation and outstanding service delivery.
She has given numerous talks on topics around leadership, innovation, and career management, including at MassChallenge, National Black MBA of Boston and National Society of Hispanic MBAs’ Moving Forward event, Asian American Women in Leadership Conference, and ASPIRE’s development series.
In addition to her skilled coaching, what make Selena stand out are her immigrant background in a large family, early life experience with poverty and adversity, and prior success working in a variety of environments, from startups to 370-year-old institution, and with a wide variety of personalities–this all contribute to the depth and honesty that she brings to coaching.
Selena has an M.B.A. from Northeastern University, and a B.A. from Williams College. She trained through the ILCT and is a Board Certified Coach (BCC) with Executive Coach (EC) designation through CCE, a Certified Global Leadership Profile and Action Inquiry Coach through GLA, a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through ICF, and a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through HRCI.
Selena is also active in the community, serving on the Board of CCE. In the past, she has served as Vice President of the Board of Asian Women for Health, Inc., drop-in coach at Venture Cafe and the First Event conference for the transgender community, co-founder of Women in Cambridge, and a member of the Steering Committee of Project Bread’s annual Walk for Hunger.
