Kirstin Irving
With a background in psychology, I am committed to working with individuals, teams, organizations and other communities of people to develop the capacities needed for transformation, in service of better futures for all.
A Chartered Occupational Psychologist, based in the UK, I have spent the past 25+ years supporting organizations globally to implement large scale change. Focusing on personal, organizational and system transformation, I work with leaders and their teams to grow their capacities for conscious leadership, often under circumstances that work to hold them in unhelpful patterns. Much of my current work involves facilitating leadership teams internationally to enable the transformative system transitions urgently needed to mitigate the worst consequences of climate and ecological breakdown.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to supporting people to develop creative, centered and collaborative responses in the face of uncertainty and complexity. By helping to make the invisible visible, I enable people to develop wider perspectives, open up a greater sense of what might be possible, connect with their power, and create healthier relationships and outcomes. My post-graduate professional development includes organizational change management, systemic approaches to team, organization and whole system transformation, and embodied practices for effective leadership. Experienced in the use of a variety of psychometric instruments, I am also a scorer and commentary writer for the Global Leadership Profile.
In addition to my consultancy and facilitation work, I am a trustee of Fermynwoods Contemporary Art. I live in Northamptonshire with my husband and three children. My passions include growing fruit and vegetables and, when the weather allows, swimming in the sea.
